| Martin Litton, the "Grand Old Man of the Canyon", has long been revered as the man who prevented the dams from being built on the Colorado River that would have flooded the Grand Canyon. Even now at 89, Litton continues to run wild rivers & fly his airplane around the west to monitor the illegal cutting of cathedral groves of sequoias & other virgin forests. Ocean Studio Alliance members Mark Fraser, James Fox & Michael Powers joined forces to co-create THE GOOD FIGHT, a film about "ML", that premiered at the Telluride Mountainfilm Festival on May 26–28th, 2006. Information about the festival at www.mountainfilm.org Photograph of Martin running the Main Salmon in Idaho last summer by Michael Powers. |
